Some of the websites listed below were created for customers with a very low or minimal budgets. They should not of course be viewed as definitive examples of our work but, serve purely to demonstrate some of the features you may wish to consider for your site even on a low budget.
We have one aim - to develop an effective and attractive website, providing an invaluable service and resource to current and potential customers alike.
| Hertford
RFC Designed, hosted and maintained for Hertford RFC by GlobalWebHQ, an informational multi-page website. Features include a drop down navigation menu and scrolling message area containing details of latest news and events at Hertford RFC; leading to fixture details and match results for all senior, ladies, youth and mini rugby teams at the Club. Hertford RFC is Hertfordshire's largest (and best of course!!) Rugby Club with the 1st XV now playing in National League 3 South. The first website for Hertford RFC, created back in 1995, was Mick Faires' very first attempt at the building of a website when he coached Youth Rugby at the club. The upkeep of the site was later passed onto fellow Mini Rugby coach Phil Ranner quite a few years ago. Tragically, Phil was later killed in a motorcycle accident. The domain name has been taken over again by Mick Faires and the website revamped as a testament to Phil. Website updated 01/02/2003 with a phpBB Forum. A work in progress. |

Be Safe Project A new website for the Be Safe Project charity who are "Educating young people that knives cost lives". Opus One Music Services - Opus One Big Band This 22 page web site, hosted through GlobalWebHQ, was created from a 'free template' modified by us with a credit to the designer. Features include rollover button navigation menu, java effects, Chart list with quick navigation anchors, RealAudio streaming sound samples and mp3's, hit counter and web stats. Stacks of pictures and information for Live Music Acts ranging from the solo performer such as Helen Welch or Babette Wright, through function bands, the Opus One Big Band to the massive 33 piece Opus One Orchestra which recreate the sounds of Nelson Riddle for their Frank Sinatra tribute show with the fantastic Gary Williams (sound like an advert for them? - they are excellent !!). Our opinion of websites that use the latest technology e.g. Flash etc. is simple: Always be aware that not all your potential customers have the appropriate software to be able to view them nor do they as a majority enjoy high bandwidth connections to the Internet e.g.. Broadband. Sure, once these types of websites have loaded they can look very slick but, it bores the heck out of most people waiting for it to start working on a dial up connection. That's the main reason why a fast loading site is likely to keep your customers attention rather than moving on to your competitors site.
Also a word about "Free" and "Very Cheap" web hosting packages: in our view nothing could be truer than the saying that "you get what you pay for". We have experienced cheap hosting packages before and have been left high and dry when servers are beset by problems and websites become unavailable. What use are the continual assurances which are proffered that the hosting company is doing all it can to rectify the situation? What use is a website if your customers can not see it and you can't obtain your email because the cheap hosting does not work?. Whilst those options may be fine for personal home pages - what do they say about how seriously you take your commitment to your business? Where hosting is concerned for your business - insist on the best. In the long run it will prove to be as reliable as you are !! GlobalWebHQ only use what is in our opinion to be the best hosting packages available because we could all do without the headaches of an unreliable service.
